Ceremonies by Nikki Kulin, Costa Celebrant - Wedding Ceremony Hints and Tips

Remembering your loved ones on your special day is an extremely personal thing. Loosing those closest too you can come into focus and feel more raw and thus, finding a way to honour and remember them can be a special way to pay tribute to their memory..

I have taken some popular ideas from Pinterest recognising that you need to find something which resonates with you. Think of how emotional the gesture will feel to you.

Some couples want their loved ones absence acknowledged during the ceremony itself, some prefer a gesture such as a small posy on a chair allows them to acknowledge and honour without the raw emotion.?

Save the chairs with photographs of your loved ones who can’t be there.

Remembrance charms in your bouquet or cufflinks provides a beautiful and subtle way to remember.

Other recent choices included a heart shaped piece of fabric from the bride’s late mother stitched next to the heart in the bride’s dress

Sewn inside the dress or jacket – fabric from their dress in the shape of a heart.
